Weihenstephan – Launch Weihenstephaner Helles
A young beer from the oldest brewery in the world - tradition meets modern trend.
The Bavarian State Brewery 'Weihenstephan' was founded almost 1000 years ago in 1040, making it the oldest brewery in the world. It is located in Freising on Weihenstephaner Berg and is surrounded by the comparatively young Weihenstephan Science Center of the Technical University of Munich. Modern science meets tradition, giving the brewery an incomparable identity - beers of the highest possible quality are brewed.
This is also how the new harmonious, balanced, bottom-fermented beer specialty was created: 'Weihenstephaner Helles'. In close consultation with experts from the beer scene, various recipes as well as brewing processes were tested to achieve an optimal taste result.
The design look of the new beer communicates the brewery's identity: a combination of a modern trend with a slight retro feel. The new beer's brand identity shows a proud, clear commitment to the brewery through the use of an engraving of the brewery and the Bavarian coat of arms, modern and confidently combined with crafty fresh light blue elements.
The launch of the new brand is a success: the beer/design is very well received by consumers and retailers.
