As the marketing prize with the widest reach, it is an award for successful brand management in Germany and thus ranks first in direct competition nationally and second internationally. Only the best are awarded prizes here every year. The award focuses on the development, structure and evolution of a brand, particularly in terms of brand impact, degree of innovation, homogeneity of the brand result and differentiation from competitors. Sustainability and economic success are also among the criteria assessed. An international jury of experts, made up of representatives from business and science, is appointed by the German Design Council to decide on the award.
