As most of you are probably aware, the Packaging Act requires higher recycling quotas from 2019. These can be achieved in part with better recycling technology - the industry is already working on the new plant concepts and techniques. Coding and pigmentation are also options that can be used by the packaging itself to improve sorting.
But many companies are asking, what exactly can they improve? PACOON has been working on recycling for years now, we have visited sorters and recyclers, held workshops and discussions and will continue to bring stakeholders together. Because we keep noticing: there is still not enough talking to each other!
This is why the feedback from our last recycling workshop at mtm plastics in Thuringia was so positively received. First-hand information, too much to remember them all.
In order to give you some initial help in a short form, we have briefly summarized the most important points and listed some positive examples. Because it is usually easier than you think at first.
So why not take a leaf out of our book and make your packaging more recycling-friendly? This will save you money on licensing, perhaps even on the packaging itself, and, if communicated correctly, can create a more positive image among your consumers.
We would be happy to support you in
– screening your product range for potentials
– finding the strategy for your sustainability target
– the packaging concept for more independence from the competition
– the search for suitable material alternatives for the current or new packaging concept
– the right, sales-promoting design through to
– coherent communication to the consumer
So that you too can say at the end “we have moved so much and the consumer has registered it“.

By the way, we are happy to announce that bottle labels made from grass paper are now available – a raw material/packaging material that very few people know about and that we have been introducing for years. The grass paper train has been rolling for 1.5 years now.
Many greetings from your PACOON team
