A major current demand trend is for alternatives to plastics, especially paper- or fiber-based materials. What was unthinkable for most manufacturers and distributors a few years ago has now come a long way: more and more fiber-based packaging alternatives with a barrier function are replacing plastics. Not only in the flexible sector, but also in rigid packaging.
