The history of today's private brewery Zwettl can be traced back to 1708. From the "Preuer auf der Stiegen" in Siernau, which was first mentioned in 1708, to today's private brewery in Zwettl, it has been an eventful journey, but one that has always been directed towards the same goal - good beer. With the private brewery of the Schwarz family, Zwettl became the town of great beers and the private brewery carries the great history of the brewing town into the new era.

Saphir is the premium pilsner from Zwettler - the brewer's masterpiece. It is the beer for demanding connoisseurs of our time. The extra-tart Pilsner beer takes its name from precious Saphir hops, which give this premium Pilsner its powerful structure in a brewing process that has been carefully matched to the ingredients.

The task to be solved was to carry out a design upgrade of the appearance of Zwettler Saphir, taking into account recognizability. In doing so, the relevant rituals of premium brands were identified and coherently interpreted for the relaunch of the brand. The newly designed Saphir logo combines aesthetics with understatement. In combination with the golden Zwettler coat of arms, it underlines the character of the beer and stands for noble beer enjoyment. The reduction of the gold content in combination with matt/gloss finishes in black creates the perfect framework.

The result presents Zwettler Saphir in an exceedingly stylish and elegant brand appearance - a beer for special moments. The new design was posted by the design blogs Packaging of the World and Design made in Germany.
